After much time I finally completed a copy of Anthony Van Dyke’s portrait of Maria de Tassis c1629. The orginal is currently in Liechtensten and is a beautiful portrait. My main reason to undertake this painting was to understand glazing and the soft and gentle nuances it gives a painting especially the folds and different surfaces of materials
Installed a new painting commission of the adorable Sophie, Sophie did a great job and I think the portrait turned out really well capturing the warm and happy personality of Sophie. Thanks to Martin and Jen, I know it will give you both many hours of pleasure and will become a family heirloom. If your interested in commissioning your own portrait for a family member or loved one please look on the commission page and use the contact icon to discuss specifics

I have painted potato free-marketeer Mr Galati as the Ancient Greek Cynic philosopher Diogenes, who wandered the streets of Athens and held a lantern to citizens’ faces in his search for an honest man.I will post further details of dates for those wishing to view the exhibition.
